A 101st Airborne Division (AM) and 54th ARVN Regiment search and clear operation in the Thua Thien Province, PHU THO District. The primary mission of the operation was systematic destruction of all bunkers, caches and enemy elements; construction of security posts and communication routes; support of the Thua Thien Province pacification goals. Due to inclement weather and flooding lowlands, the operation was postponed until 05 October.
